 FAQs

  • This is a 5K run/walk. A 5K is 3.1 miles. You can walk, run, dance, or roll - it's not about who crosses the finish line first, its about coming together, making a difference and supporting a good cause. The money raised from this event will be donated to the Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN).

  • The event will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024 and will start exactly at 10 AM. Please arrive no later than 9:00 AM!

  • The event will be held at Rockland State Park Lot One The address is 299 Rockland Lake Rd. Congers, NY 10989

  • You can register here.

  •  Yes, you can. However, you will be paying full price which is $45. Same day registration will end at 9:15 AM, so please arrive early! We highly recommend you register for the event well in advance. Register before October 12th and save $5-$10!

  • What time should I get to the event?
 If you are a runner, please arrive no later than 8:30AM. This will allow you time to pick up your race bibs, sign your injury waiver sheet, get your goody bags, stretch and head to the starting line! The run will begin promptly at 10AM. Based on feedback from last year, we expect to have all runners at the starting line and ready to go by 9:50 AM. The Run/Walk will begin promptly at 10AM. We will not be waiting for any late comers.

  • Please park in Parking Lot 1 when you arrive at the park, there is a $10 fee for parking. You will see the Registration table and starting line. 

  • All you will need is one form of a photo ID, and some cash if you want to buy items at the 5K.  Please bring these items with you to the Registration Table when you arrive.  You will need to sign an injury waiver form before you get your bib number and goody bag.

  • Absolutely! And we truly appreciate your support. You can donate online  or send checks payable to St. Mary’s to: 66 E. Maple Avenue Suffern, NY 10901.

  • Goodness, no! We know not everyone enjoys running. You can run, jog, walk, skip or hop your way to the finish line! It’s not about crossing the finish line first; it’s about being active, having fun and standing up for a cause.

  • Dress comfortably and in running gear/sneakers! It will be October, so the weather may be a little chilly. 

  • Yes, we are looking for more volunteers! If you are interested, please email stmarysfallclassic5k@gmail.com and let us know that you are interested in volunteering. One of us will reach out to you with more information on volunteer opportunities.  

  • Of course they can! This event is for everyone – of all ages and abilities. Feel free to bring strollers for young children/babies.

  • No! This event is open to the public. If you can walk, run, roll, crawl, hop, skip or jump your way to the finish line – come join us!

  • Yes! You can make it a group effort – gather together your family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, etc. and form a team to raise money and run together! For more details and instructions on how to create team pages, please contact stmarysfallclassic5k@gmail.com. We’ll walk you through it and link you to our site.
