Our Story
Each member, whether young or old, holds the potential to positively influence and inspire those around them. To develop and encourage these skills and talents, we plan events that allow our members to become positive, strong, and active members of the community.
St. Mary’s Fall Classic 5K has been a platform for our local community to come together, bring awareness to important health issues, and champion positive change in Rockland County. We were overwhelmed by the support and love we receive during our 8th annual 5K in 2022. Together, we raised over $14,000 for breast cancer research. Since the beginning, our incredible participants and sponsors have allowed us to surpass every goal we set out to reach.
In the last five years, we’ve connected our sponsors to over 500 community members and raised over $10,000 each year, for various charities including the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, People to People, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Love146, The Michael J. Fox Foundation, and The Dravet Syndrome Foundation. We are committed to making a difference in the community and world we live in.
On October 21, 2023, St. Mary’s will host its 9th annual 5K Run/Walk at Rockland Lake State Park in Valley Cottage, NY. This year, we have the privilege of raising money for the National Alliance on Mental Illness, which supports people living with mental illness through advocacy and education.
